Andalucía Photovoltaic Project in Colombia connected to the grid with full capacity, Consolidating its Foothold in South America On August 2nd, the project of Andalucía Photovoltaic in Colombia reached full-capacity grid connection, which marked an important achievement of China Power Construction in its strategy to explore the South America market.
Located in the Sabaletas region of Valle del Cauca Province, Colombia, this project is rated at 10 MW. The project marks the second time CPC cooperated with Celcia Energia, following the first successful case of the Palmira III Photovoltaic Project. More importantly, it constitutes the first self-operated photovoltaic project in Colombia that CPC has developed.

Construction started in May 2023, and in just 15 months, the project was done. Thanks to the combination of Chinese project management experience with local teams, CPC managed the design, construction, installation, and commissioning of the project in due time. The project was of high quality, safe, and efficient. The collaborating approach received full recognition both by the project owner and by the supervising authority.
